It is the one of the best known temples in Karnataka that is devoted to Shiva and has a lingam of gold. It's set on the banks of Nethravathi River amongst Western Ghasts and devotees of all castes and creeds visit with about 10, 000 people visiting every day. It offers free food and there is a guest house with contemporary amenities.
